when a girl breaks up with me, i seriously don’t want to hear a lengthy excuse, or some lame story about how she’s really too busy with her life, or that she needs a break, or that she’s not ready for this type of relationship, or that she doesn’t think she wants to date right now, or that she needs to figure herself out, or that she needs some space, or any other reason. all she needs to do is be honest, and tell me, “i don’t love you (anymore)”, and i’ll completely understand. sure, there are times where these excuses are true, but let’s face it, if you truly love someone, you will do everything you can to make it work. we all want to figure ourselves out, but sometimes we need help doing so. and when our lives are hectic and crazy, and we really do need space, we turn to the one we truly love for support, reassurance, and love. and if we truly love somebody but really aren’t ready to take the next step, we’ll hold onto them until we are ready. when doing the breaking up, everybody always says, “i don’t want to hurt their feelings”. Well, I’m sorry to tell you, but no matter what you do, you can’t get around this. The person is going to be hurt regardless of how much bullshit you feed them, so do them a favor and at least be honest. maybe then, they’ll understand.
